Consulting
Comcor
offers classic engineering consulting services to public
and private sector clients. These services include feasibility
studies, impact assessments and conceptual as well as
detailed design and specification preparation.
Depending on the circumstances, field testing and actual
data gathering is undertaken to support theoretical
engineering predictions and modeling to determine landfill
gas generation rates and future gas collection projections.
Consulting services are provided for landfill gas migration
and control systems as well as flaring and utilization
systems. In addition, expert opinion is offered in cases
of approvals or litigation activities.
Feasibility
Analysis
Comcor
reviews the operating history of the landfill. Lifespan,
receiving history, and size of the landfill all affect
the level of landfill gas produced in the landfill.
If review of these factors indicates that there is the
potential for a landfill gas utilization project, COMCOR
will proceed with landfill gas testing at the site.

Testing
Comcor
can mobilize a temporary landfill gas flaring system
to the site in order to assess the quantity and quality
of landfill gas produced at the landfill. The system
will draw landfill gas through a temporary collection
system and combust it in a mobile flare that has the
necessary MOE Certificate of Approval to operate throughout
Ontario. Upon completion of the testing period, Comcor
will remove the temporary collection system, reinstate
the landfill to its original condition, and provides
results on the quantity and quality of landfill gas.
Approvals
Comcor
will pursue required approvals from public agencies,
such as the Ministry of Environment, related to collection,
flaring, and utilization of landfill gas. Comcor has
extensive experience in submitting applications, responding
to agency concerns, and ultimately acquiring approvals.
Our established relationships with public agencies allow
us to effectively manage the approval process.
